moving to nilai on mm2h. - please help.

hi all.
my name is sharon and my husband and i are thinking of moving to malaysia on the mm2h scheme. ive been doing extensive research on areas to live and have discovered Nilai. It suits our needs as we are a retired couple and would like to live in a quiet area away from (but not too far from KL) Nilai sounds great and within our price range to buy property. However, im getting a bit concerned that maybe we may feel like "foreigners" if we live in nalai as opposed to KL, as i have been trying to find/make friends on forums related to nilai but m having trouble as i cant understand the language. Most posts are in bahasa (i think). please can anyone tell me whether there is a mixed community in Nilai and whether there is an expat comminity there?
My husband and i are from UK, but are currently living in Egypt. My Husband is of Pakistani origin and would like to meet anyone (not necessarily from any particular country) who he can make friends with who speaks english. We are vry much looking forward to our move but havent decided whether KL or Nilai (due to the above mentioned).please can anyone help in answering my concerns. thanks.

When u say Nilai, i'm not too sure which part of Nilai ur referring to. The whole of Nilai is actually quite big. This particular forum has a focus on the 'Nilai Impian' area/township, which is being developed by Sime Darby, one of Malaysia's biggest property developers. Can't really say that theres a big expat community here. I do however have a neighbour who is from Pakistan and who is a business owner at the nearby wholesale retail center we have here, known as Nilai3 (Pronounced 'Nilai-Tiga'... 'Tiga' is 'three' in the Malay language).

My family live and work in KL but we have a nice property in Nilai Impian which we call our weekend home. We love Nilai for its quiet, friendly and clean neighbourhood. I'm sure you'll find this town a comfortable place to live it. There are actually a lot of "foreigners" studying at the nearby colleges/universities.

Hi i think its a good area for retired ppl....
Anyway are you looking for rental or purchasing a property there?
